At West Hills, we believe we are on a journey with the living Christ and we are not meant to journey alone. The purpose of the Caregiving social worker is to serve under the Caregiving Ministry in the care of our church community. The Caregiving social worker is equipped to reach deeper in helping people with complex needs.

Examples of services provided by our Caregiving social worker:

  • Agency and counseling referrals
  • Support and referrals for drug, alcohol, gambling & pornography addiction
  • Mental health referrals
  • Alzheimer's and dementia support and referrals
  • Senior housing transitions
  • Crisis intervention
  • Mediation
  • Family interventions
  • Assistance to aging population (Medicaid/Medicare guidance)
  • Life skills for seniors
  • Domestic violence
