Next Gen Ministry

High School

High School Next Generations Ministries:

The transition from middle school to high school is significant at West Hills.  High school students will enjoy a greater level of leadership opportunities as well as some amazing ways to get involved, including:

Sunday School:

Starting at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday, located in the Youth Lounge downstairs, middle school and high school students meet, eat doughnuts, and learn what it means to live a life radically for Jesus Christ.  Learning comes through bible lessons and small groups with a focus on scripture.  Sunday school ends at 11:30 a.m.

Wednesday Night Worship:

From 6:30-8:00 p.m. West Hills offers all Next Gen students a chance to gather together to worship, hear a sermon, and break off into small group bible discussions.  This is our Next Gen church service!  At this service our Next Gen Praise Band performs contemporary Christian music and leads in prayer, worship, and media.  We meet in the Youth Chapel (next to the restrooms on the ground level of the church) and on occasion we will meet in the main sanctuary.  We would love to see you there!

The Next Gen Praise Band:

All Next Gen students are encouraged to join the Next Gen Praise Band!  All musicians are needed.  Singers, drummers, guitarists, pianists, bassists, saxophone players, violin players, hand clappers and snappers. If it's musical, we want you to join!  But what if you don't play an instrument?  No problem, be a part of our media team by running slides, doing light shows, running the sound board, and setting up our technology!  We practice Sunday afternoons
at 12:30 p.m. and perform during our Sunday Night Worship Services.  Once a month we even perform in front of the entire church congregation!  If you are interested in joining please contact Luke Burns (listed at the bottom of this page!)   Need a little more encouragement to join?  See the video below of one of our Sunday Night Worship performances!
